How are fashions the of the 1930s relevant to what we wear today? Video Event
About the Program
ADSNY is delighted to welcome costume designer Charlotte Mitchell whose assignments have taken her from major historical periods to the present. She will discuss how a character’s apparel is of major importance in period productions. It is paramount that the costumes are relevant to the audience, catching their attention and bringing the story to life. When designing period costumes this becomes even more crucial, especially when that period is set in the twentieth century, a time when silhouettes presaged how we look and dress today.
This recorded Video Event includes the original PowerPoint––with wonderful images that you will be able to see directly on your computer screen, tablet, or mobile device.
