About the Program:
Join ADSNY and a knowledgeable American Institute of Architect's tour guide aboard the comfortable teak decks of an elegant 1920s-style yacht for a summer afternoon boat tour around Manhattan.
With fellow architectural enthusiasts, ADSNY's group will circumnavigate Manhattan island as the engaging guide takes us through the vast monuments, architecture, parks, and infrastructure that illustrate the history of New York City’s built environment––all from our unique water-based vantage point. We’ll see engineering masterpieces like the Brooklyn and George Washington Bridges, iconic waterfront monuments like the Statue of Liberty and Roosevelt Island's FDR memorial, and of course Manhattan's most iconic spires, including the beloved Chrysler and Empire State Buildings.
In addition to Art Deco masterpieces, the tour will offer a broad overview of the city’s development from historical gems like the Woolworth building to contemporary towers such as Hudson Yards and One World Trade. Our guide will also speak about new parks and recreation piers by leading landscape architects. There’s so much to see on Manhattan’s waterfront!
As we enjoy our summer cruise on the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers, we'll have the ability to stay seated together at ADSNY's group tables in the comfortable climate-controlled and enclosed back-deck observatory. Those wishing to enjoy the outer decks, fresh air, and sunlight can do so with a complimentary beverage in hand.
Admission to this 2.75-hour cruise also includes:
- One beer, wine, Champagne or soda. (Additional beverages and light fare are available for purchase.)
- An ADSNY tote bag
- A full set of ADSNY’s printed Art Deco New York journal

We look forward to having you join us for this in-person tour! By registering for this event you are agreeing to follow ADSNY's safety protocol. Anyone who does not comply will be asked to leave the event and their ticket will not be refunded. ADSNY’s COVID-19 guidelines apply to ALL attendees.
- VACCINATIONS: All attendees must be fully vaccinated and boosted. ADSNY will require confirmation of vaccination before the event
- FACE COVERINGS: In accordance with the CDC’s recommendation, face masks are not required for outdoor activities, but are recommended
- IF YOU ARE UNWELL: Stay home if you are feeling sick or symptomatic. If you have been in contact with someone with related symptoms or who has tested positive within the last 14 days also stay home
- COVID RISK: Though positivity rates are declining, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. Those joining ADSNY'S in-person programming do so at their own risk to such exposure

We cannot accommodate any walk-ups for the tour, so please be sure to register in advance if you would like to attend.
Your ADSNY membership must be valid the date of the event to be able to take advantage of the member discount. If your membership expires between the time of event registration and the date of the event, you will be asked to renew your membership.
How to Register for ADSNY's in-person walking tour:
- Click the gold Register button located to the left of the "About the Program" section
- Enter the requested information in the registration form and follow the instructions to pay online and complete your registration
- Upon completion of your event registration, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address you used to register. If you do not see this email in your inbox, please check your spam folder.
- You will receive an email with the tour's meeting location the week before the program

Please note:
- ADSNY does not mail event tickets. When you register, your name(s) and contact information is added to the event’s list of attendees
- ADSNY does not permit animals at events unless they are a registered service animal
- All ADSNY programs are non-smoking events. Smoking will not be permitted
- All ADSNY events are rain or shine
The tour will be approximately two hours. Participants should be prepared to walk or stand for the entire time and be outside without access to climate-controlled spaces for most of the tour.
All ticket sales are final. Sorry, there are no refunds or exchanges.
ADSNY's in-person events may be photographed or recorded.
